Lloyd Cowan (MBE)
Lloyd Cowan (MBE) is a former British track and field athlete, who specialised in the 110 and 400 metres hurdles. He retired from athletics at the age of 39 and has since coached many international athletes including Christine Ohuruogu, the former 400 metres Olympic, World and Commonwealth Champion; Simeon Williamson, the former British 100 metres champion; and Andy Turner, the former European and Commonwealth 110 metres hurdles champion. Lloyd is head coach of the sprint squad.
Conrad Williams is a British sprinter who competes in the 400 metres and 4×400 m relay. He holds a personal best of 45.02 seconds for the individual event. Conrad has won eight senior international medals, including the gold medal for both England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and for Great Britain at the 2014 European Athletics Championships. Conrad coaches the jumps and sprints squad.
Shaun Medlen is a L2 Throws Coach who has competed in Athletics for over 20 years and coached for around 10. He is a member of the England Athletics Local Coach Development Programme and has been invited to the National Programme to develop further. Shaun coaches all throws, while also giving relevant training to help improve results and give athletes ownership of their outcomes. He is a firm believer in making throws more ‘out there’ for all to see and try for athletes, coaches and public alike.
Neil is a level 2 athletics coach who leads the distance squad with Jim.
Jim is a level 2 athletics coach who leads the distance squad with Neil.
Chanel has been in athletics for the last 11 years and has been ranked 4th in the UK in the triple jump U23. She has a degree in sport and exercise for health and is currently completing her level 2 coaching award. Chanel coaches with the jumps squad.
